Immigrants Are Essential
In collaboration with The Soze Agency, the National Immigration Law Center, and Resilience Force, I designed a series of out-of-home ads that aimed to remind politicians and the general public of the immense value of immigrant Americans. These ads included billboards, digital signage, and wheatpaste posters on display during the week of Valentine's Day, 2021. The artwork features portrait images of immigrant essential workers in red and purple duotones, to fit the Valentine's Day theme.

The ads I designed were displayed in
220+ locations in 10 major American cities

The campaign also won a Shorty Award in the Integrated Campaigns category.

Lavirinthos Cretan Dance Team Branding
In the summer of 2022, I participated in a heritage trip to the Greek island of Crete to perform on the National Cretan-American Dance Team. I designed the brand identity and t-shirts for the team. Our team's name, Lavirinthos (meaning labyrinth in Greek) represents the coming together of 20 dancers from across the United States. The name also serves as a nod to the Minoan labyrinth in Crete. Below are the two options I presented to my teammates as well as a photo of us in our shirts!
Sahtain Lebanese Food Magazine
In an effort to learn how to cook traditional Lebanese fare and preserve my mother’s recipes, I began the venture of producing a Lebanese food magazine from scratch in the summer of 2019. The name of the magazine, Sahtain, means bon appetit in Arabic. I'm still working on it, but if you need a recipe in the meantime, feel free to email me.
Language Learning Community Outreach
In the spring of 2019, I wrote a research paper on the benefits of multilingualism. After learning that the US has no national mandate on foreign language learning in public schools, I shared my findings with local middle schoolers in hopes of encouraging them to start their multilingual journey early on in their scholastic careers. Read the case study below.
Lebanese American Society
The design for the Lebanese American Society at UF's T-shirts features an ode to the nation's blend of three languages: English, Arabic, and French. The back of the shirt features a multilingual greeting typically used by the Lebanese, and the emblem on the front reads "Lebanese" in a custom Arabic typeface that I created in Illustrator.
Afieroma Greek Dance Group
The name of Gainesville’s Greek dance group, Afieroma, meaning “tribute” in Greek, stemmed from the fact that modern Greek dance is always performed with the purpose of keeping the culture alive. The logo and T-shirt that I designed for them invloves the Greek letter alpha and a laurel branch to represent Greek culture. The color scheme was inspired by the blues and magentas of the buildings and Bougainvillea flowers that are a trademark of the streets of Mykonos, Greece.
hey you made it this far, why not check out another project?:
